Bewdley scoop Victor Ludorum
BEWDLEY Rowing Club were crowned kings of the River Seven at Stouport Regatta over the weekend. They won the coveted Victor Ludorum trophy over a sunshine weekend that attracted some 1,100 rowers fromall over the country to compete in more than 100 events.

DESPITE not being blessed with the greatest weather, Bewdley Regatta attracted an estimated 1,000 people into the town over the weekend.

Crew row into national final
BEWDLEY’S open junior coxed four reached the National Rowing Championships grand finals at the weekend. The crew of Andy Jarvis, Alex Holden-Smith, Graham Glen and Tom McNeil, coxed by Sian Thompson, finished in a time quicker than last year’s winners. But the competition was fierce as eventual winners Abingdon School were six seconds ahead on the 2,000 metre course in Nottingham.
