To help both increase participation in the sport of rowing in the Bewdley area and to try and get more funding for the club we have applied and been accepted into the Norwich Union 2008 Sports Fund Initiative.
To get the minimum £1,000 award we need 200 people to vote for us. To receive £12,500 we need more votes than any other initiative in the region.
The top prize of £50,000 is voted on by certain top sporting celebrities, but to get the £50,000 you have to have won the £12,500 regional award.
